Wills | Haven Wills & Protection Ltd
Writing a Will provides peace of mind over what will happen to your assets when you die.
Depending on your circumstances, there are many areas which can be covered within a Will.
From basic choices such as who would inherit your home when you die, to gifting specific items of value or sentiment to that someone special.
A Will also allows you to appoint Guardians for your children, make provision for friends or charities close to your heart.
It is estimated that 65% of adults in the UK have not written a Will. And yet if you die without one (known as dying Intestate), then the Government's pre-set rules apply and your estate will be divided according to the wishes set out by the Government. In most cases, these do not fit with a persons wishes.

Common examples are:
• If you are not married or in a civil partnership, your partner will not inherit any of your estate (regardless of whether you own a property together).
• Marriage / Civil Partnership does not automatically mean your partner will inherit everything.
• If you do not nominate a guardian for your children, their placement is decided upon by the local authority.
A Will can also be the perfect place to detail wishes such as funeral arrangements, organ donation, charity donation and pet care.
At Haven Wills & Protection Ltd, our aim is to provide you with a friendly, relaxed approach to organising your wishes and setting them out clearly in a legally binding Will, backed by our membership of The Society of Will Writers, our assurance to adhere to their Code of Practice, and backed by our Professional Indemnity Insurance.
